Pegasus Airborne (1st Airborne Division)

The British 1st Airborne Division was a military unit led by Major-General Roy Urquhart which fought in the Battle of Arnhem during Operation Market Garden.
The famous maroon and blue Pegasus horse represent the British 1st Airborne Division.
The 1st Airborne Division consisted of both paratroopers and glider troops.
The famous red beret for paratroopers was introduced in March 1942.
