SURPLUS IOR binoculars, 7 x 40, black, new

The Romanian company IOR Valdada Optics has been producing high-quality optics since the mid-1930s. During the Second World War, the company was occupied by German troops and manufactured military technical equipment. After Romania joined the Warsaw Pact, IOR was always considered an important supplier to the armed forces of the East, and together with Carl Zeiss, IOR supplied military optics to many of the armed forces of Eastern Europe.
The IOR 7 X 40 model has a metal body, the lenses have a T3 magnesium fluoride multi-coating, anti-reflection, 98% light transmission. This offers good contrast for normal light conditions and reduces eye fatigue and glare in bright environments. The yellow replacement filters offer high contrast for hazy and low light conditions.
The binoculars are water-resistant and have a nitrogen charge that prevents fogging of the optics.
